Welcome - New Website!

I would like to welcome you to my brand new website! Though I have spent a lot of time setting up this space, it is still a work-in-progress. This space will eventually give way to a blog, but for now, I felt it fitting to kick everything off by saying "thank you" for visiting. 

I am currently working on my dissertation and preparing for a recital (see Events), but I will find the time for a proper entry—after I manage to decide where to begin—soon! In the meantime I will leave you with two marimba videos that make my day for various reasons and I hope you have seen before now... if not, enjoy!

J-Marimba: Sabre Dance

What I'm failing to understand is why they are so perfectly timed and in sync with each other on a flourish/hit that makes absolutely no rhythmic sense.
