Les Miserables is one of my all-time favorite musicals. I could sing along to the entire London cast recording album when I was in 6th grade (I had a lot of time on my hands, I wasn’t a popular kid haha). I love everything about it. I was so excited to have the opportunity to perform it with the complete orchestration. The setup is cumbersome and no matter what, there will be some really tough switches. But if you really take the time to learn the choreography of the part, it sticks with you. I’ve done the show a second time since this and it didn’t take much to get it back in the hands.

Only this single image from this production. A VASTLY different footprint for this production than the first time. Due to the space, I basically Tetris-ed everything into an J/fishhook setup. The bells and upper octave of crotales is continuing the line next to the xylo out of frame. I also had to carry everything up two flights of stairs.
