Based on the 1988 movie of the same name, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is a big, jazzy show. The percussion book keeps you occupied and on your toes. Lots of fast changes requires being particularly thoughtful to your setup. Since acoustic timpani couldn’t be used (the book needs 3 - 32”, 29”, 26”) for this production I used a KAT.

If I had used acoustic timpani, I would’ve put them where the hand drums are and moved the hand drums where the tray table is and the table moved behind/above the xylo. The bass drum could’ve been raised above the timpani. The cymbal and chime also fitting within the timp.
